Pastor Latin’s journey into church planting is unusual, because it occurred after working 23-years as a police officer with the Houston Police Department. 

During his career in law-enforcement, he served as a bi-vocational minister in his local church. As a law enforcement officer, he faithfully protected and served the citizens of Houston, but he desired to have a greater kingdom impact in the lives of people. 

So, he started asking the question what’s next? The Holy Spirit began to stir his heart to retire from law enforcement and plant a church in the greater Houston area. He shared the news with his wife Rosalyn, who was both relieved and elated. Rosalyn told him God had already prepared her for this moment and she was not surprised. During her quiet moments with God she strongly discerned that God would use him to start a church.

Immediately they started praying for God’s guidance and began preparing for God’s vision. After countless hours of prayer the name Revive Bible Church was confirmed. The name is very important because it identifies who we are. Revive means to return to life, consciousness, and strength. 

The mission of Revive Bible Church is “Leading broken people to Christ so they experience revitalization that’s replicated in others.” Our goal is to impact Pearland, Texas by being a multiplying disciple making church.

In essence, Revive is committed to spiritual transformation of men and women who influence others to change. The change we seek is not on the surface but beneath the surface. We desire true spiritual formation that alters more than behavior and attitudes. We crave renewal that alters the hearts and souls of people.
